Single Camera

By definition, ' single camera production only uses one camera for different shots to use in their production' this is the opposite to multi-cam which uses multiple cameras to film the same scene but capture it from multiple angles as well as different distances to film the same scene simultaneously. Some camera techniques for single camera production are: Snorricam: This technique can be used many ways to give the viewer an over the shoulder shot whilst  the character is moving, another way it can be used is to capture the facial expressions at any angle again whilst the character is moving. Steadicam: This allows the camera operator to move freely weather that be them running or walking but the camera is still moving but the shot is completely smooth. Birdseye view: This is where the camera is pointing down on the action to give an aerial view of everything that is happening on the scene. Wormeye view: This is the opposite of birdseye view as the camera looking up f...

INITIAL ASSESSMENT

INTIAL ASSESSMENT During the holidays I thought of ideas for the script of my short film. This is part of my pre-production as this is to allow me to write the script with more thoughts and knowledge to what I am going to put in the script as this will allow more time for shooting the film and editing it. The script is being written as more thoughts and ideas are being made with cast members in mind and a rough idea on who is going to play who. I am also thinking of cast members as they could have more than one role whether it be as an actor or as a crew member doing jobs behind the camera such as: sound operator and camera operator. This is to allow hopefully less overall time filming and more time editing.  I need to think of locations. This will help the film look more creative as the audience will see every location as they are there with little thought as they would see the location and quickly see where it is and understand the film a little more. Amongst this ...

Research for 'A Quiet Place' campaign-Unit 6

Paramount  Pictures released the first trailer for A Quiet Place  in November 2017.  It aired a 30-second commercial for the film during the US football championship Super Bowl LII  on February 4, 2018.  Of the seven trailers that aired during the playoff, A Quiet Place  and Red Sparrow  were shown during the pregame and had the lowest views and social conversations. A Quiet Place  had 149,000 views onYouTube , 275,000 views on Facebook,  and 2,900 social conversations.  On February 12, 2018, Krasinski appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show  to present the full trailer for A Quiet Place .  The studio spent an estimated $86 million on prints and advertisements for the film.

Evaluation of live brief

Image
The platform in which I have done the campaign is a youtube video. the reason why I did a video is that people might prefer a video to a information leaflet or a post on Instagram   This video has had good reactions as the views have had an impact on the club its self. The official Facebook page gained 521 followers after the video went on YouTube. The other platforms that I was going to use were Facebook and Instagram. Whilst doing these They were not visible to other people who tried to find them so I decided to make the YouTube video and make one for Box Clever Events. This was to create another promotion for the client and to counteract the problem with the other pages. Client feedback- 'Really liked the use of cuts too to show the passing of time throughout the event'                                                       ' T...

Stages Of Production

Image
This is the first stage of my magazine production. In this I found an image in which i took and made it the dominant image of the magazine, I also used a barcode I the bottom left corner. The second stage of the magazine production I had a masthead and plugs. The masthead is in the center and at the top of the page as to entice the reader to read it. The third stage of the process was to create more plugs to gain more interest in the whole magazine, with this the idea an informative magazine was changed. Finally I used a secondary image which is again to draw the readers attention, as they would see the name and image and wonder the story and what will happen to the person. The source in which I got the secondary image from was The Independent. The way manipulated the images was i cropped them so they could be in a position that I wanted them to be in based on my flat plan. Most of the manipulations were done during the photoshoot ...

pre production evaluation

The first stage of pre-production was the initial ideas for the project. In this I decided on what I was going to do and this was how I came up with the product. This helped me as without this the product would not have had the same impact and the whole pre-production process would have had a negative effect as it would not have been as efficient as it was. For the ideas I made little notes and decided on the genre, how it would be told and then how many characters would be involved. The way that the next stage helped the overall quality of the production is without the script the entire production would have been completely improvised so with the idea and the genre that was defiantly not a possibility so I decided to make more notes on how it would be set out as the shots being external and internal with aspects of fourth wall breaks as it was to have the comedy side as to show the side of a comedy but the serious side of a horror. It was successful as the cast knew what they were s...
