pre production log- Proposal

this is my proposal of the film, a proposal is what you take into a meeting with possible sponsors of the film.


Proposal

The film which I have brought to your attention is a comedy horror as it starts off with a different vibe than a horror as it has comedy aspects in it. With this it has the capability to have a sequel from the end. As it doesn’t have a conclusive end like with a resolution this is purposefully done as this would allow the audience to either imagine the ending themselves, which gives them a cliff hanger ending.

The target audience will be 15-18 as there will be some aspects of the film which will be suitable for younger ages with older than 18 year olds it might be until the age of 30 for them watching the film.

The voice over character is a main part as he creates the tension and sets the scene during the introduction to the film.

David is a main character as he is the one who starts the whole thing as he found the house.

The old man is a character who is there as a background teller.

Karl is basically the same as the old man as he is there for the background of the film.

Gary is David’s friend and he has contrast with David.

 The plot is a teenager was on the internet looking for a house to explore.

 The full plot is David wants to try to get this house and explore the inside with his friend, but things take a turn when a mysterious thing makes a noise and all things that could go wrong goes wrong.

Radio Drama Pre-Production Log

When I started the radio drama, I needed to make sure that the script didn’t have musical numbers within and if there was any I re-arranged the words, if necessary, to make sense as a spoken line for the character. This would allow more chance for the audience to gain an opinion on the character as this would also gain the interest for the audience. After I finished looking for the musical numbers, I then looked for any sound effects that would need to be made using foley. This would help the audience visualise what is happening in the scene more vividly.   For recording the audio, me and my crew headed to the recording studio and set up the area that we would be using. The set up included turning the mac and making sure the speakers and xlr’s were plugged in to the correct places as to be more effective in the recording. A castlist is useful as this helps the director and the crew know which actor is which character as they might need to do an action sequence and they would need to know who is involved and where they would be, along with their availability.
