unit 14 assignment brief B

Assignment from philipbass3

production log: initial ideas

INITIAL IDEAS FOR THE SHORT FILM. The idea that I was thinking about for my short film was a horror story which will be told by a person from when they were younger in their house before they left or found out what it was. Another idea of the film is a group of people on a trip to a wood and finding something they shouldn’t have found and when they take it, comes clear to them why people warned them about the item. The outline of the film would be a creepy atmosphere as it would be foreboding as the audience will know what the things would happen if they do the things which they were talking about. As they would know the main part but is not fully revealed until the end.

UNIT 4 pre production

UNIT 4 ASSIGNMENT: SECTION 1: Financing, is important for a production as it requires finance for: the cast, the crew, facilities, equipment, props, costumes, transport and soundtracks clearance. These are important as without most of these the production would not be as good as they would if they had all of them. If the film did not have a cast and crew, then it would not get started let alone finished as there would be no-one but you in the place you were going to film in. It would be worth the finance as it is a major part of the production and cannot go without. The other parts that would require finance are not as important as the cast and crew apart from the clearance for use of songs for the soundtrack. Public funding is a way for a production to get the funding for it to go ahead without running into debt. Public funding is where you can get some money from places via tax relief or the National Lottery. You can get funding via grants from the Department of Culture w

ASSIGNMENT: The first comparison. I am going to be analyzing the first and latest installment of the franchise. As I believe these have some stylistic codes and conventions of action as a genre. I will only be focusing on the first and latest films from the fast and furious franchise. Ericson Core’s first scene was a buildup and the backstory of the car chase. Which included three black high performance cars and a truck, which was carrying a container of Panasonic televisions as they were a good television at the time of the film’s release. The start of the chase includes: a zoom in, pan and a wide shot. The zoom is on the logo on the cab door this gives more of an understanding as to what the it is referring to as before that someone said “look for Rodgers on the side of the truck.” This gives the audience a clearer understanding on what the person was meaning. The pan is from the logo to the wheel which gives a focus point on certain parts of the vehicle which draws the a
